How others are using A Story of And

I've used A Story of And to help facilitate discussion in small-group staff professional learning about anti-Asian racism. The goal was to understand anti-Asian racism and its impact on student wellbeing. I'm planning to continue using this in any follow-up co-learning opportunities with staff to further our conversations and to deepen our learning.

I’ve used A Story of And in my high school classroom to discuss issues of discrimination and racism. Students were able to analyze the images and make connections to their own experiences and understandings. It provided a way to deepen discussions by allowing multiple access points to ensure all students were able to participate.

I’ve used it within my team to introduce the topic and plan to use it in my monthly Equity in Action professional learning I co-lead with Student Services. I’m planning to use A Story of And within my consulting business as well when I can have face to face sessions.
